Glenroy to Geraldine

Here I am, Paul, chiming in after MJ put the hammer down. I thought that being trip photographer and domestique would be enough but aparently I need to pull my weight on the blog also.

Well, after spending a night in a wool shed we were smelling like freshly shorn sheep with bits of fleece in our hair. We hit the wet road towards Geraldine. We expected an easy ride but expectations can be your worst enemy. Rain and wind turned our mostly downhill ride into a slogfest. I didn't capture anything in photos because the only thing I was looking at was 10ft in front of me. You can guess what MJ was looking at the whole time...my behind, even as shapely as it has become after 6 hours it probably becomes just another ass.

Geraldine was a welcome sight. Just a small place but has a quaint old musty movie theater showing some great films. We decided to take a well-earned day of rest to recoup our energy reserves. We must have slept for about 11 hours that first night, I even took a nap later. The next night we saw two movies and preped for the following day's ride to Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook.

More exciting episodes to come...
