Wellington to Picton to Havelock
Welcome to the South Island! We hopped off the ferry at about 1:40 PM on Wednesday, January 23rd, changed into cycling clothes and rode the scenic route to Havelock. We're lovin' life right now. Spectacular views, no cars, cool breezes, pristine waters, and great company! The scenic route was hilly but well worth the work! Our legs are starting to feel like they know how to climb mountains and recover reasonably. Very encouraging...
